10/16/16 Beaverton classes are all cancelled due to electricity outage caused by wind.

Hello all,

As you may know, there is a high wind warning here in Portland Oregon. It had caused electricity out in Beaverton studio and many other places in the same neighborhood. To ensure the safety of all our students & staff, we decided to canceled the rehearsal this afternoon. I will inform you later if we need to cancel the other classes at Beaverton after 2:30pm.

Haiyan International Dance Academy will be holding open house on 10/29 at 10-12pm & 10/30 at 4:30-6:30pm at our Beaverton studio, which is located at 10058 SW Arctic Dr, Beaverton OR 97005. Please come and meet our instructors and watch the Rising Stars Dance Team demonstrations. You can enjoy our free giveaways, prizes and refreshments. Moreover, you will get open house special if register for class on the dates of our open houses. Everyone in the community is welcome! We look forward to meeting you soon!

Haiyan International Dance Academy is excited to announce that we are growing and will soon be opening a second studio location. Our current Bethany Village studio will continue operating.

Our new facility is conveniently located in Beaverton, just off of Western Avenue, in the space formerly used by Portland Festival Ballet. There are two studios within the space with one of them over 1,500 square feet and the other one over 2,500 square feet! The new location will provide ample space to provide additional opportunities for our dancers. We will be expanding our faculty to include additional high quality instructors, as well as expanding our class offerings.

Soon we will begin the process of prepping and updating our expansion site, as well as getting settled into our new facility. Stay tuned for updates!

For the safety of our students and staff. HIDA is closed today due to the bad weather conditions. HIDA follows the Beaverton School District bad weather closures. Beaverton School District has closed for the day, so we will not have any classes or rehearsals today, Monday, January 4, 2016.

The Haiyan International Dance Academy with Confucius Institute will perform on 9/20/15 at 11am at the beautiful Lan Su Chinese Garden. HIDA’s students will present many famous classical ballets, as well as selections from The Butterfly Lovers, choreographed by HIDA’s Artistic Director, Haiyan Wu and performed by HIDA’s students. Please come watch us.

HIDA with Confucius Institute will also present HIDA’s full length ballet The Butterfly Lovers at the Portland Community College Sylvania Campus Performing Arts Center on 11/28/15 at 7pm. Please email yang@haiyanballet.net to buy your tickets before they are all gone! Group discount tickets are still available. We are looking forward to seeing you in the theater!
